The JHSMW welcomes visitors of all ages! Whether you are a historian, a researcher, a writer, working on a school project or just looking to learn more about the community, we can help you find the materials you need.

The JHSMW is located within the Alex Aidekman Jewish Community Campus at 901 Route 10 East in Whippany. We are open daily on weekdays, except for national and Jewish holidays. Due to limited seating, researchers are strongly advised to call and make an appointment with the Archivist before visiting the JHSMW.

Directions

FROM RANDOLPH AND OTHER POINTS WEST:

From Route 10:
Take Route 10 East past both of the exits for I-287; you will also pass Jefferson Road, and very quickly after Jefferson Road you will make a RIGHT on to MetroWest Drive.

From I-80:
I-80 to Exit 43 (287 South) to Exit 39A (Route 10 to Whippany and Dover ). You want to take Route 10 EAST to Whippany, cross over Jefferson Road and make a RIGHT on to MetroWest Drive.

FROM NEWARK AND OTHER POINTS EAST:

From I-280:
280 West to (LEFT EXIT!) Exit 43A (287 South/Morristown) to Exit 39A (Route 10 Whippany/Dover). Take Route 10 EAST to Whippany to a RIGHT on MetroWest Drive.

From Route 24:
Route 24 to I-287 NORTH to exit 39 ROUTE 10 EAST to Whippany to RIGHT on MetroWest Drive.

From Route 10:
Proceed West on Rt. 10 to jughandle on Jefferson Road . Go around the jughandle to make a LEFT onto Rt. 10 East. Pass by the Cadbury Schweppes building and make a RIGHT turn on to MetroWest Drive .

Parking

Parking at the Alex Aidekman Campus is free. There are three lots; handicapped parking is available in the lot nearest the main entrance.

Other Information

Visitors should enter the building through the main entrance and check in at the reception desk. The JHSMW is to the right of the reception desk, next to the Waldor Memorial Library.
