Membership and Endowments

Welcome to the JHSMW, and thank you for your interest in membership!

The Jewish Historical Society of MetroWest celebrates the history of the Jewish community of Morris, Essex, Sussex and portions of northern Union counties of New Jersey. The roots of the community are in the City of Newark and Morris and Sussex counties, and the Jewish Historical Society of MetroWest unites the community under one roof by collecting and maintaining its historical records.

As a member of the Jewish Historical Society of MetroWest, you can help us fulfill our mission of preserving our shared history by contributing your money - dues and other donations are used to pay for archival supplies and exhibitions - and also by contributing your time, as a volunteer.

Society volunteers perform a variety of vital functions, including processing collections and assisting with the production of exhibitions.

Most importantly, Society members contribute historical materials to the archives, such as documents, letters, photographs and artifacts.
