Upcoming Event

The Jewish Historical Society of MetroWest is proud to honor Robert R. Max, one of MetroWest’s key leaders, at its 2008 Lasting Impressions Award Gala on Wednesday, April 29, 2008 at 6:30pm, at the Crystal Plaza 307 W. Northfield Road, Livingston, NJ.
Robert Max has served our community as president of the N.J. State Association of Jewish Federations, President of Temple Sinai in Summit, N.J., and President and co-founder of Congregation Beth Hatikvah in Summit.
His contributions to the many organizations throughout his life has profoundly served our community and has inspired us to achieve our goals through dedication and commitment.
The keynote speaker will be June Walker, who currently serves as Chairperson of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations. In July 2007, she completed her term of office as National President of Hadassah, having led this vibrant organization of 300,000 women in performing acts of tikum olam, leading to a 2005 nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize.
